School security and safety may be improved following an announcement on 1 March 2013 from the Secretary of State.
It included details of the capital funding of around £4 billion that will be made available to create new school places and to carry out maintenance and repair work to existing school buildings.
Across Nottingham and Derbyshire Alpha Rail already seen a number of projects gain approval and this picture has been reflected UK wide judging by the number of quotations we are currently dealing with.
Alpha Rail operates on a nation-wide basis and has helped a number of schools, academies and sixth form colleges with their metal railings and gates projects.
We have been able to work with the school to engage pupils in the development of the new look by encouraging them to design features to be included in the metal work. Bespoke metalwork features have included logo’s drawings, bespoke name plates and a range of colour choices.
We have even received hand drawings from both schools and architects showing the ideas that they want which our CAD technicians have turned into full 3D images for final approval in visualised settings.
Advice has already been issued by the Education Funding Agency (EFA) on the application process, so if your school, academy or six form college is in need of new or replacement metal security railings and gates now is the time to apply.
