Finance Director, Mark Sipson, has recently celebrated his twentieth year of employment with metal railings and gates manufacturer, Alpha Rail.
He joined the company in 1993, following 7 years at Birchwood Boats where he was previously a joiner. Wanting a change of career he embarked on a period of retraining and was subsequently recruited by Alpha Rail as an accounts clerk within the accounts department. Since then he has attained the ACCA Certified Diploma in Accounting and Finance together with CIMA Level 1 and following the completion of a management buy-out in 2001, he was appointed as Finance Director.
All employees that reach long service milestones are presented with an award, and to mark his 20th anniversary, Mark was gifted a luxury wrist watch.
With a turnover of £3m, and employing 40 staff at their workshops in Kirkby in Ashfield, Alpha Rail fabricate and install a range of galvanized metalwork including metal railings, gates, Juliette balconies, estate fencing and pedestrian guardrail. The company manufactures all metalwork in their own workshops which means it can also supply bespoke architectural metalwork and other finishing touches such as bollards, barrier gates and decorative archways.
Founded in 1985, the company has almost thirty years of experience working on commercial projects with public sector organizations, landscape architects, building and civil engineers, fencing and landscaping contractors as well as private individuals who require a bespoke solution on a prestige residence.
Mark lives in Newton, Derbyshire and is married with a 9 year old daughter.Tags: Alpha Rail anniversary
