Camden Park forms part of the paths and walkways that run adjacent to the Regents Canal which runs through the London Borough of Camden.
Alpha Rail was appointed in 1989 by Camden Landscapes to supply and install 220 linear metres of decorative flat topped metal railings and four double leaf gates to create boundaries around the park and garden areas.
Each gate features round ball finials and a circular section was incorporated in to the design of the gates and painted red. This feature was also used as a decorative infill feature and installed between each section of vertical railing.
Camden Gardens is one of the projects Alpha Rail has chosen to feature as part of its 30th Anniversary showcase. The aim is to feature now and then pictures of past projects to highlight how well Alpha Rail metal railings have lived up to our promise of high quality and will endure the test of time.
Other projects in the showcase include:
- Whitehall Gardens, Westminster
- Crystal Palace Park, Bromley
- Beaumont Road, London
- Cherry Gardens, Bermondsey
- Raleigh Gardens, Lambeth
- Red Lion Square, Holborn
- St John’s Park, Isle of Dogs
