Shoppers in Ipswich city centre are benefiting from the addition of a new car park on Black Horse Lane. The new Wolsey car park features metal railings supplied and installed by Alpha Rail.
Previously the site of the Civic Tower which was demolished in 2008, the land had become a waste ground and a visual eyesore for the local community. The refurbished area is now a modern 550-space car park and features new lighting, metal railings and bollards.
Alpha Rail was appointed to supply 140 linear metres of 1500mm flat top metal railings which were supplied galvanized and powder coated RAL 9005 black. The mounting posts were based plate mounted on top of brickwork surrounding the perimeter of the car park as well as on top of concrete structures used to demark pathways and parking bays.
Commenting Tony Taylor, Managing Director of Anglesey Bollard Limited said, “I have a long standing relationship with Alpha Rail. They are a trusted supplier because we know we can rely on them to manufacture quality metal railings that always fit. Everyone at Alpha Rail will bend over backwards to ensure project deadlines are met and this is testament to the high levels of customer service that Alpha Rail offer.”
A once derelict wasteland area has been transformed into a sleek, modern and above all convenient car park that will be used by the local community and visitors to the area. Attractions such as The New Wolsey Theatre, The Ipswich Museum, Christchurch Park, Portman Road Stadium and the Ipswich Film Theatre are very close by and will benefit from the addition of nearby parking.Tags: car parksflat top railingsmetal railings
