We are delighted to announce the arrival of a new apprentice. West Nottinghamshire College student, Joe Redman has joined Alpha Rail as an apprentice Business Development Coordinator to help promote our metal railings and gates manufacturing expertise.
Joe, aged 19, has recently achieved a Level 3 Extended Diploma in Interactive Media. During his college course, he spent time volunteering at a local primary school.
In his new role at Alpha Rail, Joe will help co-ordinate sales enquiries and follow up quotes, as well as helping to increase our online presence using social media, e-news, blogs and articles. As part of his continuing apprenticeship Joe will also work towards a Level 3 Diploma in Business Administration.
Commenting on his new role, Joe said, “I researched Alpha Rail prior to my interview and realised how well established the company was and felt reassured by the number of people who have worked here for 20 years or more. There is obviously a commitment to work to an extremely high standard and I am looking forward to developing my career.”
Sales Director Phil Ball added, “Alpha Rail presents opportunities for a promising career with roughly 50% of our team having over 20 years’ service. We are also proud that we have been able to offer previous apprentices secure permanent positions within the company.”
In his spare time, Joe likes to create digital media using programs such as After Effects and Photoshop. He has a great interest in technology, mainly computers, and enjoys building and fixing them. He has a brother and sister, and likes spending time with his family.
