Ashley Evans from Mansfield Woodhouse has become metal railings and gates specialists Alpha Rail’s latest new appointment joining as a Project Engineer.
Following the move to our new facility, we’ve enjoyed a significant increase in sales enquiries, and in his new role as a project engineer, Ashley has a vitally important role to play. His responsibilities will include; liaising with clients and customers regarding design and product specifications, producing site layouts and installation instructions using a CAD system, as well as occasionally when required visiting on site locations to carry out surveys.
Having previously worked for bespoke joinery firm Realm Projects Ltd, Ashley was responsible for purchasing stock as well dealing with any logistical issues. He has also passed his AutoCAD basic qualification and will be more than capable of producing the technical drawings needed to manufacture our bespoke metal railings and gates.
Ashley holds a BTEC National Diploma for IT practitioners after studying at South Nottingham College.
Commenting on his new role, Ashley said “I have always been passionate about Computer Aided Design and after completing my qualification, I was keen to join a company where I could use AutoCAD on a daily basis. I knew that Alpha Rail was committed to employing from the local community so when I saw this position was available, I knew it was time for a change.”
Outside of the workplace, Ashley is a keen traveller and recently came back from trips to Florida and New York. He also enjoys most types of sport including football, Formula 1, rugby, cricket and he is also member at Teamsport Nottingham an indoor go karting club.
