Alpha Rail is pleased to announce the return of Mark Hancock who has re-joined the company as our works supervisor.

Mark has previously worked for Alpha Rail and has since amassed over 32 years of experience working in the engineering and construction industry.

After leaving Alpha Rail, Mark joined Nottingham based company Filtertechnik, who are a manufacturer and supplier of filtration solutions for oils, glycols and process fluids. He spent three years at Filtertechnik and was responsible for the production of standard and bespoke filtration units for a world-wide market.

In his new role, which is also a promotion from his previous roles, Mark will be responsible for overseeing all production within the workshop and ensuring that the quality products for which Alpha Rail has become renowned for are upheld.DSC01666

Commenting on his appointment, Mark said “Alpha Rail has a reputation within the industry for manufacturing high quality products and I’m looking forward to help maintaining those standards. I also know from past experience that Alpha Rail is a fantastic company to work for. The team spirit here is second to none where everybody pulls together towards a common goal.”

In his spare time, Mark is a keen traveller and in particular loves to hike in Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire. As part of his love for the outdoors, Mark recently completed the Yorkshire 3 peaks challenge and climbed the mountains for Whernside, Ingleborough and Pen-y-ghent in aid The Hayward House City Hospital, in Nottingham.

Hayward House is a specialist palliative care unit in the grounds of the City Hospital. It provides high quality care centred on the needs of patients and their families. Its aim is to enrich the quality of life through the skills of an experienced and caring team. Hayward House offers palliative care from diagnosis, through the interim periods of advancing disease, up to and including end of life care. Patients’ pain and other symptoms are addressed; so too are emotional, spiritual and social problems of both patients and their families. A bereavement/counselling service is also provided
