On many occasions Alpha Rail has been involved in the manufacture and supply of war memorial metal railings that have been installed around monuments and cemetaries in memory of those who have lost their lives in times of conflict.
This year we have not only made a donation to the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal, our contracts manager, Neil Mason has taken an active part in the Remembrance Sunday Parade that passed through Kirkby in Ashfield on Sunday 12 November 2017. The route travels along Kingsway past the Kingsway Cenotaph.
Neil is a member of the Army Cadet Force, and was asked to step in at short notice to take the salute from those who paraded in memory of their fallen comrades.
Commenting he said, “I was very proud to be invited to be the guest of honour and take the salute from all the active and retired armed forces representatives that have taken part in the parade to remember the sacrifice many have made on our behalf in order that we can enjoy a peaceful existence. It was truly an honour and an experience I will never forget.”
Some of the projects and locations for which Alpha Rail has supplied metal railings related to war memorials include Hednesford Park, Yarm High Street, Netteswell Memorial in Harlow to name but a few.
As bespoke metalwork fabricators we are able to add many unique features, designs and colours such as red poppy flowers.
