Pedestrian Guardrail, Nigeria

Location:

Nigeria

Project Overview

A multi-million pound road re-modelling scheme had been commissioned in Uyo, a city in south-eastern Nigeria and the capital of Akwa Ibom State

Alpha Rail Solution

In total, Alpha Rail supplied and packed for container shipment 400 pedestrian guardrail panels. Most panels were used to guide pedestrians towards safer crossings via a new 52m span road bridge that has been erected over a busy road junction and a 16m span bridge near an entrance to a university campus. The remaining panels were used to guide pedestrians to an additional 27m span bridge.

"Due to my extensive knowledge of export shipping and procedures I am asked to procure a wide variety of construction materials from companies within the UK for export to Nigeria. I need to be sure that I can trust my suppliers to provide quality materials, react quickly, meet deadlines and ensure goods are packaged adequately. Alpha Rail have definitely ticked the boxes in all areas. There quality of service and product is excellent and everyone in the company has proved to be helpful and responsive."
