Project Overview

Brenley Fields is a development of a seven acre site in Mitcham, Surrey, once used by Eastfield High School as playing fields into a new housing scheme.

Unused for the last 15 years, this £26 million development is being led by Brenley Park LLP, a joint venture between Willmott Dixon Homes and Notting Hill Housing Group, in partnership with the Homes and Communities Agency, which owns the site and has contributed grant funding of £6 million to support the delivery of affordable homes.

Housed in seven low rise buildings, Brenley Park provided 169 new homes which are mostly one, two or three-bedroom duplex apartments, with eight, four-bedroom terraced townhouses for affordable rent.

Alpha Rail were sub-contracted by Willmott Dixon Housing to supply and install approximately one kilometre of metal railings and gates and roof top railings of various heights, and 36 Juliette balconies were installed to high level French doors. The project value was in excess of £100k.

"“The apartments enjoy views over a new four-acre park in the heart of the development, which will include children’s play area and ‘green’ outdoor gym. We were keen to maintain the aesthetics of the development and using decorative metalwork for balcony rails, and street level railings has helped transform the scheme into a prestige development of highly desirable flats. We have been delighted with the quality of Alpha Rails metalwork and they delivered exactly to the planned work schedule.”"
